            TAMARACK FESTIVAL
Autumn is the treasured time of the year when we revel in the last warmth of the sun as the leaves of the trees and shrubs turn to gold in preparation for the winter to come. The Seeley Swan Valley is noted for its Western Larch trees, commonly known as Tamaracks. One of the only deciduous coniferous species (needle bearing trees) whose needles turn golden and fall from the tree. To commemorate this cherished time of the turning of the trees, we hold the Tamarack Festival with a wide variety of activities. Tour Pyramid Mountain Lumber mill, enjoy the morning air with the fun run, Tour the Arts, wander downtown taking advantage of artisans and local retailers alike showing off their wares...  www.seeleylakechamber.com

Artists in the beautiful Seeley, Swan and Blackfoot Valleys open their studios and galleries and welcome visitors throughout the Tamarack Festival weekend. Sponsored by Alpine Artisans  www.alpineartisans.org
